Welcome to Upper Colwyn Bay Community Centre

THE COMMUNITY CENTRE was opened in July 2001.  It was funded by grants from various charitable trusts and foundations, and by the fund-raising efforts of the local community.

The Centre is a Registered Charity run by volunteers for the benefit of the people of Colwyn Bay & beyond.  Our income derives from hire charges, fund-raising & donations, and is used solely for the up-keep of the  premises.  The Trustees receive no payments or expenses.

We provide facilities for Leisure, Educational, Social & Sporting Activities.

There is a large Car Park, and Disabled Access to the building.  The No. 23 bus stops outside the Centre.

The Upper Colwyn Bay Community Centre (generally known as Bryn Cadno Centre) is a charitable company limited by guarantee, incorporated in July 1998, at which time it was registered as a charity.

The Registered Charity No. is 1071908 and the Company Registration No. is 3608344. Registered in England & Wales.

The Trustees are responsible for all aspects of running the Community Centre.

The objects of the Charity are to provide opportunites for social, educational, recreational and leisure activities, to the residents of Upper Colwyn Bay, the Bay of Colwyn, and generally within the County Borough of Conwy.

Copies of our policies on Equal Opportunities, Child Protection and Vulnerable Adults are displayed in the building.

The Fundraising Committee organises special events during each year, to enhance 'community life' and raise much needed funds for the maintenance and development of the building and facilities.

We receive no national or county government funding for the running of the Centre, but are grateful to Bay of Colwyn Town Council for a grant in April 2016 to help with essential repairs.

We rely or hire charges, fund-raising and donations.

The Community Centre is not owned by the local authority.
